According to Girl Up, October 11th is known as National Day of the Girl. What a better day to talk about the brand new Dream Big, Princess campaign that Disney just launched worldwide?
The #DreamBigPrincess campaign is a video series created by Disney to pair 21 different young women from all over the world with some of the biggest female leaders in business.The powerful videos will continue to be shared across Disney’s social media, but the campaign itself is more than just great content to share with the women closest to you.
For every like or share of a public video or photo with #DreamBigPrincess on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, Disney is going to donate $1 to Girl Up, the United Nations’ Foundation's’ initiative supporting girls’ leadership and empowerment. Girl Up was founded by the United Nations Foundation in 2010, and aims to promote girl’s equality and achieve equal rights for every girl. Many celebrities, athletes, and high level business executives work with Girl Up to empower adolescent girls around the globe.
You can find more about the 21 girls chosen for the video series, known as the storytellers, on Disney’s website.Hailing from countries all over the globe, they were paired with a woman in power to see just what it’s all about. Included in some of these women, the Vice President of Product Marketing at Apple, the President of Lucasfilm, Medical and Neuroscience Researchers, and even the Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios!
